The Bae Sea Harrier FRS Mk.I, the only fixed wing carrier-borne aircraft in the Royal Navy, has all-weather fighting capability. The Sea Harrier was developed into a carrier-borne aircraft from the V/STOL aircraft Harrier of the RAF, with its cockpit height raised by 28 cm. The Sea Harrier has a Blue Fox air-to-air / air-to-surface radar system in the nose and is capable of carrying both AIM 9-L air-to-air missiles and Sea Engle air-to-surface missiles.
