We received many pleasant surprises from Day 2 at Spielwarenmesse, the International Toy Fair in Nuremberg, Germany. New kits abound, and we don't want you to miss a second of it:

Miniart, one of the best up-and-coming model companies out of Kiev, Ukraine, revealed to us their plans for 2016, including a fantastic newly-tooled T-44. With state of the art engineering, it is the first plastic model ever made of the famous tank and one that has been on many modelers' wish lists for a long time. The kit will include a full interior of the fighting compartment, clear parts, V-44 engine, ten options for decal markings, and photo-etched parts as well. With an expected release date of March 2016, take a look at the beautiful test shots of the sprues:

Miniart also informed us of their plans to make a newly-tooled Su-122 and Su-85, both to be released sometime in late 2016.

We also saw plans by Round 2 of re-releases of two old, popular kits, Polar Lights' Headless Horseman and AMT's Aero Chief Fire Truck. There is no ETA on these kits, but we will update you as soon as we hear anything!

Lastly, we were toured through the Airfix booth and were told about their plans for a newly-tooled B-17G in 1/72 scale, along with a USAAF Bomber Resupply Set in 1/72 scale. They also plan to release two more newly-tooled 1/72 scale planes, as you can see below.

Airfix also revealed to the public for the first time their prototypes for their new line of Aeronautical Engineer kits. these will be released in Fall 2016 and will include non-glue and non-paint kits of engines, including a V8, V12, jet turbine, locomotive engine, radial aero engine, and more!

We look forward to sharing with you what we see next!
