How are the shipping charges calculated?
Our shipping rates, within the continental U.S. are calculated by using the standard carrier rate tables. We take the weight of the items in your cart and calculate the cost for transport from our zip code, 08078 to yours. To see how much shipping will be, simply add the items you want to the shopping cart and type your zip code in the appropriate field. This method will only work for USA customers. You will see your exact total including the shipping and handling charge. To compare pricing, you may choose either UPS, Fed Ex or USPS or you can choose our Standard Shipping which is only $8.95. Standard shipping we ship the best and cheapest way possible (po boxes excluded). For USA Customers, typically on Larger orders UPS or Fed Ex is the way to go. On smaller packages USPS is cheaper and faster. MegaHobby also offers our standard $8.95 Shipping anywhere in the USA! This applies to all orders up to 199.99 -- after that it is free! If you want items to ship to your P.O. Box you must choose priority mail.
Alaska, Hawaii, FPO and APO must choose Priority Mail.
MegaHobby does ship All paints and glue to FPO and APO addresses.
Does MegaHobby ship international and if so how much does it cost?
For our Overseas Customers,
Shipping Restrictions: Paints that are Flammable, cannot be shipped via Air or to International locations. These item are classified as flammable. Due to regulations, orders containing flammable items may not be shipped via aircraft. Therefore such orders cannot be shipped to international destinations. Flammable items also cannot be shipped via 3 Day Air or Express mail These items may only be shipped within the United States including Alaska, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and APO and FPO using ground or priority services ONLY.
In order to see your shipping total you must add the items you want to the shopping cart, then proceed to checkout. When you are done filling in your shipping and billing info on the next page, you will see your shipping options before you have to pay for the order. International Global Express and Global Priority Mail is the only way we ship. Why? Because they are both trackable! Please note you will be responsible for customs charges and any other fees associated with your order once it's received in your country. MegaHobby has added First Class Mail International Shipping. Please note that we do not guarantee these packages. This method is great for lighter weight packages.
MegaHobby charges you for the item and Shipping when the order is placed. We only accept PayPal, Google Checkout and credit cards for international orders placed on the MegaHobby.com website. You may send an international money order in US funds to pay for the order. MegaHobby has been shipping internationally for over 13 years with an outstanding record!
Is Everything in Stock?
MegaHobby.com stocks most of the items shown on the website, however sometimes an item is on the website but not in-stock and cannot be shipped. There may be a delay in updating the website inventory to reflect available stock. If you purchase an item and we can not fulfill the order we will notify you within 5 Business Days via email. You can either receive a full refund regardless of payment method or the item can be placed on backorder and it will be shipped as soon as it is available. MegaHobby.com ships with a fill rate of 99.7%.
The MegaHobby order and Fufilllment process.
Most Orders Ship out within 1 to 7 Business days from the date of purchase. All orders require a one day or less processing time from the moment the order is placed. All orders our batched every business day at roughly 8:30 am. If you place your order at 10pm the night before it will be included in the following days batch. If you place your order at 11am it will be batched the next day at 8:30am. Your credit card will charged at the time the order is placed. If there are any problems with the order you will notified Via email within 1 to 5 Business days. Most orders ship out within 1 to 2 business days depending on if the items are in our New Jersey warehouse or other warehouses we deal with across this great country. The shipping time is specified on each product under additional information. We always recommend to customers to create an account before placing the order, this way you can track the progress of your order. If you create an account after you place the order you will not be able to track that order. You can only track order status once you are logged in and the order is placed when you are logged in.
