The Bf 109 was one of the first modern aircraft of its era. Features such as a liquid-cooled V-12 engine, a closed canopy and retractable landing gear made the Bf 109 a huge improvement over WWI fighters. The "G-6" variant, which appeared late in WWII, had a more powerful engine with superchargers and also came with many field adjustment kits. These kits allowed the G-6 to be fielded with extra guns, rockets, bombs or extra fuel tanks, making it a highly versatile fighter. Features of this kit include detailed surfaces with recessed panel joints, a detailed cockpit with instrument panel, a separate tail wheel and movable propeller, a detailed undercarriage bay with side walls, two different wheel rims and tires, two different upper cowlings, separate ailerons and flaps, separate slats, a divided cockpit canopy with rear armor, a choice of early or late rudders, an additional fuel tanks, and decals for two Luftwaffe versions.
