The USS Yorktown CV-5 was an aircraft carrier that the US Navy commissioned just before World War II. The lead ship of the Yorktown class, the ship was designed with influence from the Lexington class and the USS Ranger. She was sunk in 1942 in the Battle of Midway. Kit features over 400 parts on 14 sprues, including hull and detailed flight deck, photo-etch parts, and four 1/700 scale aircraft (TBD-1, SBD-3, F4F-4, and B-25).
