The USS Missouri, or "Mighty Mo", went down in history with the signing of the Japanese surrender documents. The Missouri was the last of four battleships of the Iwoa Class, classified by their ideal combination of fire power and speed. She was completed in June 1944. The Missouri was on active war service from the Iwo-Jima landings in February 1945 until the hostilities ended in September 1945 and also during the Korean War. The Japanese surrender documents were signed on board the Missouri on September 2, 1945. Features of this kit include deck superstructures, surface structures shown in relief, ten double-barreled cannons, four-barreled machine guns, three movable gun turrets with 40.4mm cannons, two seaplanes, a display stand, and decals for identification marks.
