The Loire 70 was a French long-range flying boat used for reconnaissance and bombing. Its first flight was in December 1933. It featured all-metal construction, a heavily braced high wing and three radial engines. Just seven production aircraft were produced. Those seven, along with the prototype, served with Escadrille E7 at Karouba in Tunisia. In early WWII the aircraft was patrolling the Mediterranean. By 1940 there were four aircraft left; three of those were destroyed in an Italian air raid in June and the fate of the fourth and final example is unknown.

Trumpeter often recommends using Tamiya X and XF paints – click here to purchase!
