A significant part of the German Wehrmacht autopark during WWII was made up of 3t cargo trucks. One of the most numerous was the KHD A3000, which started production in 1940. It was equipped with a 4-cylinder Deutz diesel engine and had rear drive only. KHD A3000 trucks were widely used by all German service branches up to the end of the war at the Soviet-German front, in North Africa, France and Italy. In total there were 5960 KHD A3000 trucks produced between 1940 and 1944.
