My mom gave me this model for Christmas 1989 and it sat unassembeled under my bed until last week, Nov. 2009. I am having a great time with painting and the large number of decals for this modestly detailed model. Fully assembled, this model is ALL saucer, so much so that it comes with two display stands. One for the main hull and one for the saucer section. They say you can display this model with the saucer attached to the hull but the saucer is too heavy so they allow you to display the ship with the saucer separated, just like in the TV series. It brings back great memories.
