Academy 1/400 RMS. Titanic

The Academy 1/400 Titanic is the finest new model of the Titanic on the market since the 1/350 Titanic was re-released by Minicraft some years before. This kit comes with excellent detailing and many historical accuracies that rival her Minicraft sister and the quality of the molding is stellar! No flash, no pits, smooth, crisp detailing and as a bonus the kit parts are, for the most part, molded in their actual colors so that one could build a replica of this wonderful ocean liner with little painting required! The only major draw back to this kit is the poor quality of the well decks and the lack of two collapsible life boats, but all Titanic kits have this problem it seems. There are several photo etch sets out there for this particular kit and using the replacement photo etch parts adds a museum quality to the 1/400 Titanic. I must say that this builds into one of the finest Titanic replica's out there. This makes the 1/400 Titanic a real good choice for any one who seeks to build a museum quality model of this ill-fated ship.
